First Haircut

We had a wonderful visit with Granny & Aunt Becky this weekend.

We love Emily's long hair, but those curly ends get so tangled!

Dinnertime

Three scenes from the dinner table.  A little glimpse of both girls' personalities.

Adara singing about her sweet corn mush (with Emily being Emily in the background.)

Emily's turn

Not caught on camera, but also made us laugh:
Emily: [whine]
Lauren: What's wrong?
Emily: [mournful voice] What's wrong is I lost all my friends!
Lauren: Hmm.  Where did they go?
Emily: To Mimi's house.
Lauren:  Who are your friends?
Emily: Rosalie and Daniel.

You can read about Emily's first infamous "what's wrong is..." statement here.

Firsts

Another big week in the Groves household.  At 5.5 months, Adara tried her 1st solid foods (oatmeal, sweet potato, banana), cut her 1st tooth, slept through the night for the 1st time, and is thisclose to rolling over from back to belly.

Other highlights of the week: mudseason (our dirt road is treacherous and my kitchen floor is .. muddy) and beautiful early spring 70 degree weather.  Ahhhhh.  :)

5 Months, Chaos

Life has been out of control busy around here lately, with lots of exciting things... including moving the counseling center into our new office and negotiating on a house (pictures of both to come at some point), among other things.  It's been a very stressful few weeks.   In the meantime, Adara turned 5 months old!

Surprise surprise, my 2 year old is much more cooperative when I promise her chocolate if we can get a good picture.

I've also finally updated our picasa pages for January, February and March.  You can see more pictures by clicking on the "view all photo albums" link to the right.

Snow day

Last night Alasdair & I commented that it really felt like spring, with the snow almost completely melted and temperatures in the 50's... but we knew it was too early to really believe it.  Today, we woke up to 6+ inches of fresh snow.  Alasdair's gone all day for work, but the girls and I have been enjoying the warm sunshine and the perfect soft snow.
