I am way behind on updates... about a month ago, the girls had a super weekend with their cousins. A few days at Killington, and then a special mystery ride trip to Boston. Alden & I were home sick and missed all the fun, and Alasdair was a saint for ferrying the girls around all weekend.
For Rosalie's 6th birthday, Mike and his family came out to Killington. Emily rode up with Mimi on Friday night, because Adara was recovering from a week of looking like this.
But, she rebounded and she and Alasdair joined everyone else on Saturday. They all had a great time skiing and swimming on Saturday. Emily stayed on with everyone else and headed down to MA on Sunday. Monday morning, Alasdair & Adara again headed out early to meet up with everyone, and they all took a mystery ride into Boston, where they saw Frozen on Ice, and then went to Faneuil Hall for lunch & ice cream. The girls came home brimming over with excitement about their adventures. Adara's first line was "Mommy!! Guess what I did?? I got ice cream!" Emily told me about how they saw Elsa and Anna come to life. So sweet. There are some videos of them talking about the day on our youtube page.
this one didn't ski much but was very happy to hang out with mimi in the lodge and drink hot cocoa
Playing with the rain forest stuffed animals from mimi & papa's trip to Guadaloupe.
My sweet sick baby kept falling asleep on me.
After a long sick Valentine's day, I decided Alden & I needed some Indian take-out.... and then I locked us out of the car in the parking lot and had to call friends to drive us home. :(
First meal under the P. Tavilla sign!
These kids are so lucky to have grandparents to do these fun things with. We treasure those relationships (and the adventures)!
