15 Years

Another number I just don't know what to say about.  Our house was full of Dartmouth friends and their families in town for our 15 year reunion.  We haven't seen in each other in years and it still feels so normal to be together.  I love seeing our kids connect with each other.  Such a great weekend with our people. I miss them already.

Emily is 10. TEN.

I don't even know what to say about this.  She is just the best and I like her so much.
She's come into her own this year in many ways, and I can't believe how ready she is for middle school next year.

Her 10th birthday hit right after the last day of school, just between two trips for Daddy, and at the start of our Dartmouth reunion weekend.  She was a good sport about the challenge of carving out time to celebrate!  Mallory spent the night and we did birthday breakfast a day early, and I think she's enjoying the anticipation of her two biggest two gifts still to come: getting her ears pierced and bringing home a bunny, while reading nonstop on her new kindle. Overall I think her 10th birthday will be one to remember!

Last Day of School

Heading off to the last day of school!

I blinked, and we went from this and this, to Fourth Grade Recognition!
It's been a sweet six years at Mount Leb for Emily!!

Handing out programs for a little morning sing style celebration, they performed some recorder and chorus songs, the computer teacher put together a slideshow (I barely managed not to cry!) and we handed out certificates and gifts from the PTO.

First Day / Last Day of the fastest year ever.

My heart hurts looking at all these old pictures.
Every cliche about how fast this goes is true.

Looking forward to spending the summer with these three!

Finishing up the school year

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind!  It's nice to have a few quiet moments tonight to look through pictures.

Memorial Day at the lake with cousins.  Highlight - a multi hour 6-kid building project.

Morning sing performances

Walking home from their last Bingo Night

Errands with these silly boys

First time biking to school by themselves

Girls on the Run lemonade stand fundraiser for CHAD

4th Grade Chorus Concert (so much less nervousness than last year!)

CG Cookout (you know it's a good time if it ends with cleaning up muddy kids with the garden hose)

Girls on the Run was such a win for Emily.  Her first 'team' sport that she really enjoyed, and so much progress and confidence in her running ability.  I loved spending the day with her and running together at the 5k.

When you manage to fall over while sitting down eating a cupcake, and it lands in your eye?

First Nighthawks game!

💜💜💙

When it's been awhile and you forget how to apply sunscreen?

Opening day at the pool!

Alden tagged along to PA with Daddy for a few days to be with Granny, so the girls and I had some nice time together here.  Hightlight - TipTop pottery and dinner at Trailbreak the night before the last day of school.

I have a memory of Emily first truly reading to herself around this age, with Junie B Jones book.  And here we are again...

Alden's special solo days with Granny - face paint, zoo, Franklin Institute, and all the attention. 💚
